Works planned for the State Highway 2/Hewletts Road flyover are being postponed.

The works were originally scheduled for tonight to allow the completion of maintenance activities.

Waka Kotahi Transport Agency says due to Covid-19 related resourcing issues, the closure of SH2 Hewletts Road Flyover for planned maintenance will not be going ahead as expected tonight.

"As such, Hewletts road will be open tonight," says a spokesperson for the roading agency.

"We will provide further updates on this work once it has been rescheduled."
