People are being warned to expect delays in Welcome Bay this morning, following reports of a crash.
A caller to the 0800 SUNLIVE news hotline says a car has crashed into the back of a bus on Welcome Bay Road, near James Cook Drive.
The caller, who lives near the Welcome Bay Foodmarket affectionately known as the Blue Shop to locals, says this is the second time a car has crashed into the back of a bus in a week.
"It is a really bad area. There is a bus stop right at the end of my driveway, it is on a bend and is notorious for sunstrike at this time of the morning.
"The driver looks to be ok, but the vehicle looks pretty damaged."
The caller says the crash is blocking one lane of the road, but should be cleared soon.
