Car hits power pole on Fraser Street, Tauranga

There has been a vehicle collision on Fraser Street, Tauranga.

Police received a report of a car colliding with a power pole on Fraser St at about 9.39pm.

"The power pole has been damaged," says a Police spokesperson.

A SunLive reader at the scene says that Fraser Street between Thirteenth Ave and Fourteenth Ave has been taped off.

"There's lots of Police, at least three Police cars and an ambulance. The road is blocked, they've taped from one side of the road," says a SunLive reader.

It is unknown at this stage whether there are any injuries.

There are no reports of power outages in the immediate area.

Car hits pole in Fraser St/ Cameron Rd/Pyes Pa Rd/ etc. ? A not uncommon occurrence. At least we didn't lose power this time
