The government will today reveal the latest official advice on reopening Auckland schools which have been shut for nine weeks.
Education Minister Chris Hipkins has already signalled senior students will be the first to return.
Some principals want the government to cancel this year's NCEA exams for Auckland students.
They say the region's teenagers will not have had enough classroom time before exams start on November 18.
