Tauranga Girls' College head girl Izzi Morris made a guest appearance at the Fairfax Media Business Hall of Fame Awards on Thursday night, speaking in front of the highest business people in the county.
Out of 3000 Young Enterprise applicants, Izzi was the one chosen to speak at the awards on behalf of business students around New Zealand.

She also impressed New Zealand Young Enterprise selectors who chose her as one of the six members to represent New Zealand at the trade fair in Hong Kong.
The awards night is a special occasion where the business sector celebrates the success of three current business people and three who have passed away, for their contribution to New Zealand businesses.
Izzi says her involvement was to address the issues and goals of young up and coming business students.
"My involvement in it was the trust that runs it (the young enterprise scheme), is all about teaching and developing business in young New Zealand students.
"I spoke on behalf of these New Zealand students as kind of 'this is what has happened over the past 50 years, this is what we are looking to achieve going forward."
The 17-year-old wowed the audience with her speech, which put forward ideas on how to involve the younger generations into business to achieve success for the future.
"I'm a big believer that experience in business is the best way to learn, rather than sitting in a classroom and I also think people in business in New Zealand today could get young people involved in their businesses and share their experiences.
"It's a really easy way to pass on knowledge and to get those young students as far ahead as possible in business."
She believes New Zealand businesses are in a healthy state, especially if businesses continue working with students interested in the sector.
"I think there are great models in place, look at the young enterprise scheme and you have students setting up businesses and mentors coming in and working with them, and some great business skills being passed down.
"There have been models set up at Onehunga High School, Rangitoto College, there are really good models, it's just getting those businesses to link up with these models for younger people.
"It's an interesting time in business in New Zealand especially for younger people coming through. The New Zealand business sector is in a positive stage but we just have to keep encouraging them to link with younger people.”
Tauranga Girls College Pricipal, Pauline Cowens, says she is very proud of what Izzi has achieved.
"[I'm] extremely proud, proud of her not just because of what has she achieved, but because she takes other people on the journey with her, I'm proud of what she gives back.
"I'm proud of the way she is real, focused, and not in any way someone who takes anything for granted.
"She will go onto big things."
