Still to little

Still very low . A relative who is 88 was told it maybe November as they live in a small town and not easy to get to a vaccination place . The whole thing has been poorly managed time wise we could have and should have been much more advanced. So far dodging many bullets. Soon we will need boosters and hopefully mutations don't overtake the vaccines. I agree with Winston's statement this morning. Not a supporter but he's right on this one.
Finally Some Progress

Finally some progress. A little bit of good news but still a very long way to go. I do understand that the country took a wait and see approach to vaccination procurement and rollout. It will take more than two months to get all first jabs done at 43,000 per day. Managed Isolation Quarantine must remain in place. Any move to a phased approach to reopening the border with a self-isolation pilot as is planned this year is suicide. Maybe even murder.
Booster jabs

The UK is already planning to start booster jabs very soon. They say it is likely to be needed 6 months after the initial vaccine. They also plan to have vaccine passports. Our Associate Health Minister, when interviewed over the weekend, seemed to have no clue that these sort of things are in the pipeline or will be required. Hoping it goes away by the sound of her. We are not only at the back of the queue, we are falling further behind. NZ is more obsessed with unnecessary MIQ than necessary vaccines.
