UPDATE: Ohope's Lisa Carrington has won a second gold medal within the space of an hour.
The Bay of Plenty Olympian followed her K1 200 title gold medal win with a triumph in the K2 500m in Tokyo alongside Caitlin Regal.
The Kiwi duo held off the challenge of Poland to win gold with an Olympic best time of 1:35.785.
It is Carrington's second gold of this year's games and her fourth overall.
She is the first New Zealand woman to win two gold medals at the same Olympics.

The Ohope local has secured her third straight K1 200 title in Tokyo this afternoon.
Carrington won her semi-final with an Olympic best 38.127.
She took out the final at 2.37pm in 38 seconds.
