A drop-in information session is being hosted this evening to discuss developments on the Ōmokoroa Peninsula Projects.

The event is taking place at Ōmokoroa Settlers Hall on Ōmokoroa Rd from 4.30pm.

The session, being hosted by Western Bay of Plenty District Council, will provide members of the community a chance to meet with Council and ask questions about the specific projects in the Ōmokoroa region.

The event is not a presentation, with WBOPDC hoping for 'informal chats” with staff about projects currently ongoing in the fast-growth area.

Projects in the pipeline for Ōmokoroa include plans for the State Highway 2/Ōmokoroa Road intersection, Western Avenue Urbanisation and the Ōmokoroa Playground Update.

Among others, they make up 18 main projects in the area.

The total projects are estimated to cost $50 million, of which $14 million is co-funded by the Government under its Shovel Ready Infrastructure Programme.

Those that cannot make the event are advised to check out the developments at www.westernbay.govt.nz/council/projects/omokoroa-peninsula-projects
