Innovative technology solutions supporting Bay of Plenty businesses can be seen for free at the Technology for Smarter Business exhibition in Tauranga tomorrow.
Organised by the Western Bay of Plenty ICT Cluster, the expo is on at Baycourt from 12.30pm – 5pm on May 24.
More than 20 exhibitors will be showcasing products and services aimed at increasing productivity and maximising business potential in the Bay
Priority One project manager Annie Hill says the expo has a strong focus on helping local companies grow and improve.
'It will be a chance for companies to discover innovative solutions that can reduce overheads, increase profile, help staff build knowledge and future proof businesses.”
On display will be the latest solutions to streamline business processes, remote working technologies and smart open source options, as well as tips to make the most of websites and effectively use social media channels.
Annie says the latest in broadband and wireless technology will be covered and businesses can find out the best option for them as ultrafast broadband is rolled out in Tauranga.
Ultrafast broadband has the potential to bring significant productivity gains to local businesses, says Annie.
In light of the Christchurch earthquakes, Annie says a number of exhibitors will be showcasing Cloud computing solutions, data security services and business continuity planning tools to safeguard business information and ensure businesses remain viable following small or large disasters.
The ICT cluster has more than 450 members from around 180 Tauranga and WBOP information technology and communications businesses.
