To smack or not to smack

'Should a smack as part of good parental correction be a criminal offence in New Zealand?”

Next week voters can have their say in the controversial Citizens' Initiated Referendum when voting begins on July 31.
Electoral Enrolment Centre national manager Murray Wicks says anyone who hasn't enrolled needs to do so by July 30.
'Anyone who enrols after July 30 will not get a voting paper in the mail and will not be able to take part,” says Murray.
'To ensure your enrolment gets to us in time, fill in a form at the elections website www.elections.org.nz, print, sign it and post it in. Or fill in a form at a PostShop.”
