New life in Peters politics

Tauranga members of the New Zealand First Party have welcomed a letter from Winston Peters, in which he both apologises to them and reminds them of his political efforts – such as the Gold Card for elderly people.

Tauranga electorate chairman Roy Townhill says the country can expect to hear lots more from Winston Peters yet.
Roy says the New Zealand First Party needs a prospective candidate for Tauranga and will begin to look for that person. Local party meetings have attracted large numbers, including a gathering of 95 at a mid-winter dinner.
