Where is the money going?

‘Cash up the trust fund' The above was said by C. Evison last week in The Weekend Sun (July 24, page 21).

The TECT situation, who can make the biggest gain? Politics and why would the Tauranga MP's wife be a trustee of TECT?

It gave $2m to build a St John Ambulance station in Tauranga, which was ignored by Simon Bridges for years.

The new ambulance station is a government responsibility, is someone after a knighthood?

Trustee fees are not inconsiderable in all this another attraction perhaps?

Why do we have hospice shops trying to raise funds? No one goes there for a holiday. Hospice is only short of a few million?

Our current leader is spending billions; hundreds of millions were given to stopping family violence, how does that work?

St John Ambulance needed a mere $30m to keep operational. Labour, just like Simon, seem to have very little sympathy.

An ambulance officer has a very hard job; when you have an emergency, heart attack or road crash, who do you expect to turn up? A St John paramedic and all he asks for is your support.

Money paid to the Government from TECT is money lost to dozens of needy organisations.

R Chamberlain, Tauranga.
