The votes have been tallied and the results are in.

Bill Holland, Peter Farmer and Natalie Bridges have been elected as trustees for the Tauranga Energy Consumer Trust.

Independent Returning Officer Warwick Lampp has released the results of the 2020 trustee election, after it closed at midday today.

'I confirm that the official result was determined after the scrutiny of all returned voting papers and counting of valid votes,” he says in a statement released this afternoon.

Warwick says the voter return percentage was 29.94 per cent, being 14,634 votes of which 45.76 per cent voted online.

There were 38 informal votes and five blank voting papers returned.
