Dr Jaqueline Rowarth.

'As Director of Agriculture (Massey), Professor Rowarth is an inspiration to students and to farmers. Quite simply put, she ought to be on television with her upbeat and positive conviction that agriculture is an overwhelming force for good.”
The annual Ballance Farm Environment Awards ceremony celebrating sustainable farming practice is at The Orchard in MacLoughlin Drive Te Puke.
The awards celebrate the achievements of entrants of the Bay of Plenty farming community who are working towards sustainability. The ceremony showcases the properties of the finalists and gives some background into their lives, their goals, and their sustainable farming practices, says Bay of Plenty regional coordinator Kirsten Winter.
