Public transport

With regard to L.W Chandler signalling a bus that refused to stop (The Weekend Sun, January 17, page 26).

Years ago London Transport had plastered all over their buses the following:

‘Face the driver raise your hand, you'll find that he will understand'.

I noticed under one of the notices someone had written: ‘We know he'll understand the cuss, but will he stop the bloody bus?'
