What’s On: Indie-folk and Aussie fundraiser

Good morning SunLive readers, I hope you are having a good weekend and are making the most of the sunshine.

Looking at the weather for this fine Sunday, it is going to be a fine day with some light winds about.

It is going to be a high of 26 degrees with a low of 17 degrees.

Looking ahead into the working week, Monday is set to be another fine day with some light winds and sea breezes. The high for Monday will also be 26 degrees.

Temperatures are predicted to stay high through the rest of the week with Tuesday's high set for 26 degrees, Wednesday 27 degrees and 28 degrees for Thursday and Friday.

If you are looking for something to get you out and about today, an open Pilates class is being held as a fundraiser for the Australian bushfires.

The class is being held from 9.30am at Fergusson Park with all donations going towards various aids and funds set up to assist animals, communities, firefighters and more.

Everyone is welcome and no experience is required to join in with the class.

An eclectic indie-folk band from Manchester, UK is in the Bay of Plenty today and will be performing at The Jam Factory from 6.30pm.

Formed of Singer-Cellist and Songwriter Bonnie Schwarz & international Klezmer accordionist, Pete Shaw, the band take their recent venture as a duo, touring New Zealand Jan-March 2020. Sitting between folk and pop, the eclectic duo present an upbeat yet intimate sound-world of musical storytelling.

General admission for the show is $15.
