The annual NZIA Waikato Bay of Plenty Architecture Awards has been held and Tauranga architect Dean Turner is one of those who have been honoured.
Dean won the award in the residential category for the design of the beach front home, Creedy House, in Papamoa.

Creedy House in Papamoa.

The home cost an estimated $750,000 to build and has various design features which make it distinctive.
Dean says unique features of the home include its draped ceiling, the raised platform it is constructed on and the concrete block and pre-cast panelling used to construct it.
He will now compete in the national architecture awards.
