Be the better person

Waihi to Tauranga and back again – she's a pretty scary trip some days and sadly, deadly on others. There's been a lot of negativity and anger bandied around on social media and print, name calling and harassment, not exactly mature and business like.

They read your comments too and then you expect them to be nice back to you and tell you what you want to hear or know.

A bypass is what the majority want and need, but constantly being derogatory to people in different organisations or the guys working on the roads, doesn't make you look like the better person either. They are family people, have feelings and like us, are not able please everyone all of the time.

But I do know that they want us and themselves to be safe too.

Of course we need to say we're not happy with SH2 or nothing will change, but it's the way we do it.

Thanks for giving it a go... even if it didn't work, it's a process of elimination and high five to the roadies, not an easy job out there.

Less whining and more positivity, encouragement goes a long way.

Merry Christmas and stay safe all.

W. Fairview, Waihi.
