Homes and businesses in the Tauranga region are without internet services this afternoon after a landscaper is believed to have cut through a fibre line at the Mount.
Internet provider Clear is working to restore services to the area and have not said when they expect to have everything back up and running.

If services are not back on by 5pm, contractors are expected to work through the night.

Someone must have got the story wrong here somewhere! I've had no interruption to my home or business internet. Maybe not the whole of Tauranga is affected? Or could it be that only Clear customers are affected? But dont let the facts get in the way of a story eh?

No problem where I work in the Mount, and no problem at home in Tauranga. Good thing Clear isn't used at either location....
