Powerball rolls over: $38 million up for grabs

Powerball was not struck last night and has rolled over to Wednesday night, where the jackpot will be $38 million.

'There has been a lot of excitement in Lotto stores around the country as the jackpot's grown over the past few weeks – and now there's $38 million up for grabs with Powerball on Wednesday,” says Lotto NZ Senior Corporate Communications Manager Kirsten Robinson.

'If a single player is lucky enough to win Powerball First Division on Wednesday night, it will be the second largest prize ever won in New Zealand.”

Meanwhile, six lucky Lotto players have each won $166,667 with Lotto First Division in Saturday night's live Lotto draw.

The winning tickets were sold at Northcross Pricecutter & Lotto – Auckland, Countdown Three Kings – Auckland, Whitcoulls Chartwell – Hamilton, Countdown Levin – Levin, Warerloo Lotto and Giftshop - Lower Hutt, and Redcliffs New World - Christchurch

The Strike Must Be Won jackpot of $1 million was not won by a single ticket and therefore rolled down to Strike Three. The prize was shared by 189 players, who each take home $5,932. The winning stores and locations will be available on MyLotto on Monday.

Twenty-six Kiwis around the country will be celebrating after each winning $22,419 with Lotto Second Division in last night's live Lotto draw.

The winning numbers for last night's draw are: 30, 23, 40, 25, 27 and 19. Bonus ball 37. Powerball 1.
