Police name man found dead on boat

Police can now name the man found dead in the Tauranga Harbour entrance on Saturday.

He was Clayton Patrick Nathan-Graves, 29, from Pyes Pa.

"He was also known as Clayton Patrick Graves," says a police spokesperson.

"Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances of Mr Nathan-Graves' death, alongside Maritime NZ.

"A number of people have contacted us following an appeal for witnesses and we're grateful for their assistance.

"We would still like to hear from anyone operating a boat, fishing, or walking in the area between midnight Friday 4 October and 8am Saturday 5 October, who has not yet been in touch with us."
