Climate change policy is nonsense

Until I see youngsters walking around with their eyes open instead of glued to their mobile phones, riding pushbikes or walking to school and not dropping rubbish where they stand, then I for one am not at all convinced that the recent student protests on climate change are genuine.

All of this kerfuffle has become a worldwide cult, led by a 16-year-old brainwashed child. It's mob hysteria on a dangerously increasing scale.

It's driven by politicians, socialists and big companies who stand to gain hugely from these so-called ‘green policies'.

The UN policy on climate change is nothing about environment.

It's an attempt to redistribute wealth, undermine economic freedom and expand government control. It is fraudulent to say the least.

With the use of scare tactics, propaganda and unproven data, the youth of the world are being indoctrinated by ideological rubbish.

Those driving this agenda wish to exterminate free thinkers, free markets and force the world to be dominated by a socialist/green government.

And they are preying on children as their vehicle.

No wonder there's a high rate of youth anxiety and suicide, with this propaganda robbing youngsters of a normal childhood upbringing, without fear of doom and gloom or an apocalypse.

Rubbish!

Where does one even start with this sort of rant? Thank heaven's for the well-informed socially engaged and active youth of today. I hope they are not disheartened by this sort of insulting ad hominem attack. No wonder they are disillusioned with the older generation if this sort of blinkered raving is how the older generation act.

It's kinda interesting........

........when an avid supporter of the climate change scam has something to say, they can never be wrong and will yell, scream, cause civil disobedience if they think required, and yet when a climate change sceptic speaks up, it is called a 'rant'..why?....is it not possible to have an opposing view without abuse from the far left?..clearly not. Until rational discussion can be had between all, the believers can make unbelievable and irrational false claims all they like and still not get the domination clearly and in my view correctly as pointed out by P Kelly. I don't believe the youth are allowed to be well informed ( genuine knowledge) and if 'socially engaged' means facebook and the like, then we all have concerns . I don't know if P Kelly is a member of the 'older' generation, but we all have a point of view to share...rationally..

Calling a spade a spade

Hi Groutby. I call this letter a rant because... well, it is. It offers no facts but is composed solely of attacks on people who think differently than the writer. Your comment is the same. You start by calling a position you disagree with "a scam", accuse me of being "from the far left" and throw around words like "irrational". If you read my comment again you might notice that it criticizes only P Kelly's method of discourse (insults), not his opinions. And encouraging youth to engage is hardly a radical lefty idea. Then you seem to hope that "rational discussion can be had between all". If your mode of discussion is simply to throw insults at those you disagree with then this will probably be a little tricky. Which is the point I was making in the first place.
