I am urging the council not to proceed with (what they call) the planned road "improvements" on 15th Ave. This is going to be months of utter congestion during construction, at the cost of millions with no forseeable positive outcome.
This will be another Greerton and is merely an excuse to put a bike and bus lanes down part of the road.
If traffic entering 15th Ave during peak times is the cause of the congestion, then stop the traffic entering 15th Ave during peak hours. It is that simple and is only a sign. This does not cost any money which will be a complete waste just like Greerton was.
They forced Greerton on us. Don't let them force this disaster on us as well.
I urge everyone to e-mail the councillors and urge them to stop this madness before it starts.
Come on people, enough is enough.

the 15th ave improvements is actually a rat run control device.The lights will be RED during congestion periods.This will force the rat runners to join at the end of the queue, CBD traffic congestion will start as far back as the CBD.This madness nneds to be stopped.

15th ave already has a second lane, 14th avenue so the whole exercise $4M will achieve nothing.The traffic lights at Burrows St. will stay RED during peak times so this is really a Rat Control Device. The Rat runners will have to join the congested traffic no latter than Frazer St so the CBD traffic will stack way back into the CBD. This will be congestion on purpose in the hope you will get on a bus!Wooly thinking .Next time you see a TCC councillor give them a "baa" from me
