L Sorenson may have a point but that point equally and probably more so to younger drivers who drive around Tauranga like lunatics.
Have a look at the road while you are driving round Bethlehem instead of looking for bad behaviour and you will notice a more than average number of black tyre marks on the road surface from wheelies. These are not made by older drivers.
Many times I have had close calls at the Moffatt road roundabout and every case it has been a truck driver or a younger person steaming straight through the roundabout.
Further, drivers over a certain age do have a mini test when they apply for the licence renewal every two years. Doctors will ask questions regarding road signs etcetera and if one fails, a doctor has the right to apply to the police to have a patient's licence uplifted.
To finish, buddy, you will reach the age you suggest sooner than you think.
