A total of 1.5 million individual standard entries were received in the 2011 exams and a team of 1825 markers from the around the country have graded the papers.

Bethlehem College former head boy Eremia Tapsall, 18, is slightly nervous about going online to view his results, but is trying to be positive.

'I haven't gone on yet, but am planning to this afternoon; I'm feeling reasonably good about it, I guess I will find out how I feel when I check them.”

Hard copy results will then be mailed out in the next three weeks.
