One person is in a critical condition after a workplace accident this afternoon.

Emergency services were called to the scene of a workplace on Jellicoe Street, Te Puke.

A police spokesperson says one person has received critical injuries and has been transported to Tauranga Hospital.

'Worksafe will be advised.”

A SunLive reporter at the scene says there were ambulance as well as two rapid first response cars, parked along the side of the Te Puke Highway.
