A glitch in the Tauranga City Council's parking metre system means the system was showing as a normal day, not a public holiday.
In a post on the council's Facebook page, it says the software was showing normal mode, instead of showing that parking was free.
'If you have paid for parking in Tauranga today, Monday January 28 2019, please call us on 07 577 7000 to get a refund.
'Our apologies for the inconvenience.”

Why is it we have these council employees being paid $100.000plus stuffing up the Software . Program in the parking meters, just not good enough.
