Good Morning SunLive readers and welcome back to the start of the long weekend.

This weekend is looking to be a warm one, so if you are heading out to one of the many events happening this weekend, heading away or just chilling at home, make sure you put on some sunscreen because come Tuesday, you may be looking like a lobster.

Looking at your weather for today, there is some morning cloud with that clearing for it to be fine.

There will also be some westerlies developing.

Your high for today will be 25 degrees with an overnight low of 15 degrees.

If you are wanting to get out and about today, at the Bowentown Boating and Sport Fishing Club at Waihi Beach, they are holding a Nauti Girls Fishing Competition.

There are lots of prizes to be won including cash prizes.

There is also the One Love festival taking place this weekend. The festival is sold out and due to the size of the festival, road closures have been put in place on Cameron Road.

You can view the road closures here:

The second ODI for the Blackcaps and India is also taking place today.

This international cricket test is starting at 3pm.
