Good morning SunLive readers and Happy New Years!
We hope you and your loved ones welcomed in the New Year with some great festivities last night.
Plenty of action took place around the city so if you missed out, make sure you check it out here:
Locally, we're kicking off the year right with the Bay Dreams Pre-Party at Trustpower Baypark from 3.30pm.
The gig sets the scene for the main event on January 2 and features some of the most notable names in music, including UK dance duo Chase & Status who join NZ summer favourites Shapeshifter, L.A.B and State of Mind.
Traffic delays are being predicted over the next few days as thousands of people descend on Tauranga for the festival, so organisers are warning motorists to keep up to date on road information.
Outside of the iconic festival, there's also a heap more activities going on throughout the city today.
