A vehicle has crashed into a bus and a power transformer on Hewletts Road.

A police media spokesperson confirmed the crash happened just after 12pm.

"This is a collision between two vehicles and one of them has hit a power transformer.

"Police were notified at 12.05pm and the power company has been notified."

Jarrad Bailey, a reader who messaged the SunLive Bay Facebook page, says the crash has happened outside of Plumbing World.

"A Bay Hopper bus looks as if it has crashed into a vehicle turning into Plumbing World.

"No one appears to be injured.

"There were people on the bus at the time."
