Police say no one has been injured following two crashes on the Tauranga Eastern Link this morning.

Police received multiple calls to a crash on the TEL at 6.36am.

Witnesses reported a car had hit a barrier and someone was trying to push the vehicle off the road, says a police spokesperson.

'There was no injuries reported and it didn't appear to block the road.”

A second crash on the same stretch of road was reported to police just before 7am.

'A vehicle was stuck in the wire ropes of the median barrier and air bags had been deployed.

'No major injuries were reported. It blocked the fast lane of the highway, but should be cleared now.”
