Two women and a man have died following a crash in Hamilton overnight.

The two-vehicle collision occurred at the intersection of Mangaharakeke Drive and Avalon Drive shortly after midnight.

A police spokesperson says two other people sustained serious injuries and were taken to Waikato Hospital.

'The road is now clear and the Serious Crash Unit is investigating.”
