Police have released the name of the woman who died in a workplace accident in the Bay of Plenty on Friday.
A police spokesperson says 39-year-old Kawerau woman Melanie Leanne King died at the scene on Friday morning.
"Police extend our sympathies to her family and friends."
Melanie's death has been referred to the Coroner.
Worksafe will be investigating the cause of the accident.
