Congratulations to the Tauranga Harmony A Plenty barbershop chorus for organising the recent National Barbershop Singers Convention at the Holy Trinity Church in Tauranga. What a great weekend it was!

Twenty men's quartets from all over New Zealand and eight choruses. There was a high standard of singing and the behind-the-scenes organisation of singers and volunteers was very impressive. What's more, the Tauranga chorus won a silver medal in the small chorus category.

We were also privileged to hear the international gold medallists, the Musical Island Boys, who, of course, come from New Zealand. Well done to you all!
