Invasive testing unrelated to Bella Vista debacle

A request to conduct invasive testing on properties in the Bella Vista subdivision is not related to property settlement agreements, says Tauranga City Council Chief Executive Garry Poole.

'We sent requests today to conduct some further testing on some properties,.

'There was some concern that this would impact on settlement amounts or delay offers being made. This is not the case.”

'It is purely related to our function as a regulatory body.”

Settlement negotiations will proceed shortly. It has been more than 43 days since TCC agreed to buy the homes affected by the failed housing development.

An extraordinary confidential meeting will be held in council chambers this afternoon, says Tauranga City Council's weekly bulletin.

In-fill query?

Perhaps this is related to the original fill in this part of the subdivision? Interesting turn of events. Council still trying to worm out of responsibility?

So what is the invasive testing related too - if the houses are to be demolished it doesn't matter or is TCC (the poor ratepayers) going to remedy the faults and allow the houses to be lived in. Stop digging holes TCC and let the ratepayers know what is happening.
