Perception, attention, memory, thinking and language understanding are just a few of the subjects you will learn in Psychology studies.

The University of Waikato's Tauranga Campus is hosting a Psychology Careers Expo on Wednesday, July 25.

This free event showcases the diversity of psychology as a profession and is aimed at prospective students, undergraduate and postgraduate students, industry representatives and anyone with an interest in psychology.

'The purpose of the event is to inform people about the career possibilities in psychology and also to facilitate connections between the university, psychology students, and psychology practitioners in our local Tauranga/BOP area,” says Tina Bourke, from the School of Psychology at the University of Waikato in Tauranga.

"Psychology has so much to offer individuals, organisations, and communities. The expo will include a range of speakers from across the profession including behavioural, clinical, educational, community, maternal and child mental health, and corrections and criminal psychology.”

Presenters will share their professional experiences and knowledge, including opportunities for emerging psychologists available locally.

The Psychology Careers Expo will be held on Wednesday, July 25 from 1pm-3pm at University of Waikato in Tauranga Room A.03, Windermere Campus, 70 Windermere Drive, Poike.
