Does your dog have a green tag?

If not – you have until 1 August to register your dog for the 2018/19 year without incurring a 50 percent penalty fee.

Western Bay dog owners should have received their registration packs in the mail, or by email, in May along with Council's newsletter Dogs of the Western Bay.

If you have not received your registration form please contact Council's customer relationships team to arrange for one to be sent to you.

To date Council has received 9118 registration renewals – leaving a further 4907 dogs (46 percent) still to be registered by the 1 August penalty date.

Late payers also need to be aware that if your dog is unregistered and is impounded after 1 July, the impounding fee doubles from $40 to $80.

This year's registration tags are green and information on fees and how they apply to different dogs (de-sexed, unneutered, dangerous, working and assistance dogs etc.) is available on Council's website www.westernbay.govt.nz/dogregistration.

If your or your dog/s details have changed from last year you can update your information online at www.westernbay.govt.nz/dog-payment or on your registration form when you make payment.

For any queries please contact Council's customer relationships team, phone 0800 926 732 or email customerservice@westernbay.govt.nz.
