Waiariki MP Tamati Coffey, along with local Labour list MPs Jan Tinetti and Angie Warren-Clark, will hold a free public hui in Tauranga this Wednesday, in order to break down the benefits of Budget 2018 for the local community.

'Maori voted to return Waiariki to Labour, because we campaigned on addressing the core issues affecting Maori, issues like housing, health and education, issues affecting everyday New Zealanders,” says Tamati.

'From supporting midwives to tackling child poverty, Budget 2018 delivers on this promise.

'However, in the storm of ‘Budget' headlines, people in our community may not be aware of all of the key moves which will improve their lives, protect our environment and rebuild core public services here in Tauranga and the Western Bay of Plenty.

'Alongside Angie Warren-Clark and Jan Tinetti, I look forward to breaking down the Budget and answering the questions that matter to our community, kanohi ki te kanohi.”

The public hui will be at the Rangataua Rugby and Sports Club, 450 Maungatapu Rd, Maungatapu, on Wednesday May 30 from 6pm.
