A man has died after diving at Lake Rotoma.

Emergency services were called to the scene at 4.35pm yesterday after receiving reports of a person in trouble in the water.

CPR was performed on the diver but he was unable to be revived.

A police spokesperson says police's thought are with the man's family and friends.
