Good morning SunLive readers and welcome to Saturday.
Break out the brolley's, because this weekend is already looking wet. In fact MetService have issue a heavy rain warning for here and for Coromandel.
So how do you still have fun while combatting our natural elements, you ask?
Great question - and my answer, is have your fun indoors!
International Dance Day is one of many indoor events happening today. It kicks off at 10am, and basically is bringing to you a taster of a whole bunch of different dance styles you might've never heard about.
A variety of dance tutors have come together to bring you free workshops as part of the event, so you can get a snippet of the different classes that happen every week in our own community.
Kizomba is one, salsa is another, and there's a whole bunch of others too. Head along, it could be a good way to find yourself a new hobbie!
Keeping in line with the theme of everything active, there's also another indoor activity happening today which is set to stretch your limbs out.
Snap Fitness Tauranga is running an 8 week challenge, part of which involves a group activity every Saturday, one of which is on today.
The group will be heading to Flip Out trampoline park, for a day full of fun and fitness with a difference.
Trainer Louise Watson says it's all about incorporating fitness into every day activities.
"We do all sorts of activities we've got Zumba and aqua aerobics classes coming up.
"Those who apart of the challenge range from 50kg to 170kg, males and females, people of all different walks of life.
"Anyone can come to the event today, and it's a little bit cheaper for the hour we're there."
The crew will be at Flip Out from 9am. Entry costs $12 for adults and children are $8.
Head along, meet everyone and get involved yourself.
Failing any of these options - or if you aren't much of a fitness fanatic yourself, then have a look at our calendar below, to find out what's happening today in the city.
