The Oruahine track across the northern face of Mauao will be closed for around two weeks from April 9 for track maintenance.
All other tracks will remain open, says a Tauranga City Council spokesperson. Access to the summit will be available via the Waikorire track.
Signage and barriers will be in place, and security will be on-site during working hours.
A helicopter will be flying overhead to deliver aggregate to the track on April 11 to April 12 – depending on conditions.
A loading zone will be located in a paddock on the Marine Parade side of the mountain; however, there will be no additional track closures during this time.
