What's On - Produce fairs and night runs

Good morning Sunners and welcome to Saturday!

There's a fair bit of cloud expected for today, but who ever let a few clouds get in the way of a great weekend?

If you're keen on getting out of the city - but don't want to travel too far, why not head out to Whakamarama for the day.

The community out there will be hosting their Harvest Festival from 2pm-5pm at Whakamarama Hall, bringing to you a culmination of produce and harvest displays and markets.

It's a great chance to come, buy, sell and swap... And at the end of it you get to enjoy some great locally grown fresh produce.

For those of you who are both night owls and fitness finatics, you're in luck, because there is an event tonight bringing you the best of both worlds.

We Run The Night is on from 5.30pm-11.55pm at Mount Drury Sound Shell on Marine Parade.

Join in as the sun goes down over Mount Maunganui. Run the night with distances including a 21km half marathon, 14km, 7km and the new 3km kids dash.

The course is fully lite, all on roads and is flat and fast. Run along the beautiful beaches of Mount Maunganui by moonlight then celebrate your efforts with friends and family.

Put on your light bright colours and run with the night!

If neither running, or produce, tickles your interest then see below for all of the activities that are on today.
