An inaugural three-day jazz and blues festival is soon to be a reality for Opotiki.

Island View Jazz and Blues is the name of the all new musical extravaganza which features a long list of guest artists.

Rodger Fox, Paul Ubana Jones, Darren Watson, Neil Billington and The Raven Mavens are just some of many artists expected at the event.

'With the beautiful beach-side location and the relaxed East Coast vibe, this all-inclusive food, accommodation and entertainment festival is set to become one of the most sought-after events on the jazz and blues calendar,” says local musician and co-organiser Greg Standen.

'Island View Jazz and Blues festival is giving music lovers an opportunity to mingle, jam with friends, and enjoy top New Zealand entertainment in an intimate, beach-front holiday setting,” says Greg.

'This is the ultimate weekend getaway filled with music, food sun and surf.”

The festival is March 2-5 at Island View Holiday Park, is situated on stunning Waiotahe Beach, Opotiki in the Bay of Plenty.
