A Beast of a Feast returns to the Mount

Patrons, Tony Cameron and Mike Haden enjoy a Rocky Knob brew and a chat with Bronwyn and Stuart Marshall at last year's event.

Summer's hottest craft beer and food festival, Beast of a Feast, is returning to Mount Maunganui this month.

The event features a rock star line-up of some of New Zealand's best breweries and street food vendors and provides the perfect setting to acclimatise to the New Year.

Challenge your mates to a match of table tennis or perhaps meet the brewers behind the beers at ‘The Beer Affair' tent.

Compete for spending credit in what will be famously known as ‘The Great Pickle Eating Competition', or just sit back and enjoy the entertainment on the big stage.

A broad selection of music genres will be on stage, including brass section bands playing anything from Ragtime to Dixieland coupled with a mix of acts known for other jazz fusions, rainbow pop and dance with a bit of comedy thrown in for good measure.

The event is broken into a double session with a kid-friendly morning session and an afternoon session where the grown-ups can let loose.

The festival is promised to be filled with delicious food for you to eat, beverages to wash it down and live music to get you moving.

The event was origingally scheduled for tomorrow, but has now been postponed until January 13 due to bad weather predictions.

Tickets online at the Event Finda website.
