A truck and trailer unit has crashed on State Highway 1, near Tokoroa.

In a video supplied to SunLive this morning, the truck's trailer can be seen on its side and debris is scattered over the road.

Police say the crash happened at 5.52am.

'A truck and trailer unit crash with the trailer flipping on its side on SH1, near Puriri Road, Tokoroa.

'There are no injuries and the crash is blocking both lanes, so traffic control put in place.”
