Bark has been scattered on the road following a nose-to-tail crash near the Bridge Marina in Tauranga.

One lane is reportedly blocked for traffic travelling from Mount Maunganui to Tauranga.

A reporter at the scene says bark is scattered over the road.

People are being as to drive with care and expect delays as emergency services deal with the crash.
