The man at the centre of a video showing a young boy driving a vehicle through the Whitianga township has been fined by police.
'The child and his parents have all been spoken to by police. A man has been fined for aiding and abetting an unlicensed driver. The fine was $400,” says a police spokesman.
Broken by Newsie, the video captured by Whitianga local Gaz Walden and posted to Facebook showed a very young boy behind the wheel of the Ford Falcon which is also occupied by other children, a man in the backseat, plus a goat.
Towards the end of the video, the man in the care at the time claims the young driver is 'in training'.

Yes $400 is alot of money but if he wasnt filmed and the police were not involved it could of cost him a life, and you cant put a price on that.
