There are 3000 eligible voters in the broader Western Bay of Plenty area who are at risk of being unable to have their say on November 26 at this year's general election.
This is because the enrolment update pack sent to them in May was returned to the electoral enrolment centre marked as ‘gone no address'.
This means the address the person has recorded to their name on the electoral roll is incorrect and so have had their listing removed from the electoral roll.
Electoral enrolment centre national manager Murray Wicks says nationally there are 50,000 ‘gone no address' voters.
'If you are one of the 50,000 or so voters whose pack has returned to us because you've moved house and not updated your enrolment details, you have been removed from the electoral roll,” says Murray.
'If you didn't get an enrolment update pack, you need to enrol so you can have your say in this year's general election and referendum on the voting system.”

Murray encourages everyone who is not enrolled to do so.
'Enrolling is easy. Voters can freetext their name and address to 3676, get a form from a Post Shop or call free phone 0800 36 76 56.
'People can also enrol or update their details online at www.elections.org.nz.”
