A boost to sales at Fieldays is being seen by the event's organisers as the positive flipside to a slightly reduced attendance this year.
The final head count for the event held at the Mystery Creek Events Centre was 117,495.
The atmosphere at Fieldays was one of excitement, with people of all kinds, farmers, business people and families enjoying the event.
This includes a last day attendance of 21,654 when the weather was bad.
Fieldays general manager Barry Quayle says overall the attendance is down by four per cent compared to last year.
'Quality visitors versus quantity remain the true indicator of the success of an event,” says Barry.
'Value to the exhibitor continues to be our priority – getting down to business is what we do best at Fieldays.”
He says anecdotally the 1000 exhibitors are positive about how the event went and says the actual spend there will be revealed in the next few months.
