DMS rebate up by 10 cents

DMS kiwifruit grower shareholders will receive an increased rebate of 30 cents for the 2015/2016 year.

Bay of Plenty kiwifruit management company, says the 10 cents increase is attributed to increased profitability of the business.

DMS Director, Craig Greenlees, says the rebate increase demonstrates the recent growth enjoyed by DMS, plus the implementation of strategies which focus on fruit quality from orchard management to packing.

'We pride ourselves on treating a grower's crop like gold, regardless of the variety and this increased shareholder rebate is proof of that.

'By putting in place good orchard management processes, picking the fruit at the best time and then treating the kiwifruit with care in our packhouses, DMS can hand on heart say we mean what we say, and we deliver on that. Our mantra is 'Increasing Grower Profit”

'Growers have confidence in DMS. They have given us a clear message in the past over how they want to be treated and their expectations over what should be delivered. This is evidence that we have listened.

'Our company vision is to enrich the lives of our growers and our team, through exceptional management and performance, and living up to our brand promise of increasing grower profit. I'm pleased that we have ticked that box.”

DMS is a Bay of Plenty owned and operated orchard management and post-harvest operator, with two major packhouse sites in Te Puke and Te Puna.
